My personal desk & setup gear
Over the past few years, i've built and perfected my own video editing & work desk setup for maximum productivity and experience. Here it finally is:
Desk setup:
Apple Studio Display 27"
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

Macbook Pro 16" M4 Max 128gb RAM
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

Big display to travel without needing the Studio Display. Specs handle 4K timelines and heavy After Effects projects without slowing down - which is perfect for my client work.
IKEA Mittzon Sit/Stand Desk, Black
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

This desk is electric height-adjustable with a clean black-wood finish. Goes from sitting to standing at the push of a button. Great for walking treadmills.
Herman Miller Aeron Chair
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

Undoubtedly the best office chair for long sitting periods. Adjustable lumbar support, armrests, and tilt tension - my posture and back pain has improved since upgrading.
Apple Magic Keyboard
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

Compact wireless keyboard with silent and low-travel keys. The battery lasts weeks to months. Pairs cleanly with the rest of my Apple ecosystem.
Logitech Pro Superlight
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

Closed-back studio headphones with a flat, reference-tuned sound. Used for audio mixing and monitoring with true-sound. This is coming from a professional musician.
Elgato Streamdeck+
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

The Streamdeck allows me to switch between different applications, client communication channels and even helps with OBS recordings - also audio control when useful.
Montblanc Pen
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

This is the pen i'll pass down to my kids. I invested in this pen several years ago, it see's all the highs and lows of my career, and will see past me into future generations.
Montblanc Notepad
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

Premium note-taking experience to pair up with the pen. Massive difference in quality compared to regular notepads, not necessary but definitely a nice-to-have.
Microphone & recording:
Sony A6500
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

Timeless camera. I use it 95% of the time as a webcam for client meetings and desk recordings - it does the job perfectly at 4K, in low light, especially with my F1.4 lenses.
Sigma 16mm F1.4 Lens
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

Perfect wide shot, with great low-light capability. I use this lens for my webcam setup above my Apple Studio Display. It's a great universal lens, without breaking the bank.
Sony 35mm F1.4 GM Lens
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

This is the lens behind most of my talking-head content & cinematic B-Roll shots. It's the perfect lens in my opinion and is capable of great shots in pretty much all scenarios.
Shure SM7B
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

There's a reason it is used in every podcast in the world - It achieves a deep bassy vocal sound, which works well for me as I have a low pitched voice. 10/10 for day to day audio.
RODE PSA1 Arm
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

Simple microphone arm. I didn't opt-in for the most recent PSA1 because it has heavy branding all over it. I prefer a nice minimalistic style without comprising quality.
Focusright Scarlett 2i2
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

This is what actually connects the SM7B mic to the MacBook. Also, the Beyerdynamic DT 700 headphones. Just a great middle-ground with plenty of controls.
Cloudlifter
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

The SM7B is a power-hungry mic and needs serious gain to sound right - this sits between the mic and interface to pump up the natural gain without fuzzy interference.
Elgato Camlink 4K
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

HDMI capture card that turns the A6500 into a proper webcam. Useful whenever I need to record or jump on client calls from the desk instead of setting up a full shoot.
Everyday carries:
Montblanc Cardholder
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

Birthday gift from my wife (she knows my Montblanc addiction too well). I used to have a wallet, but I just carried random cards for no reason. Now I carry 6 cards.
Airpods 4th Gen
Purchase → USA · UK · Global

I used to use the Airpods Max - but honestly I wasn't a fan for several reasons. If i'm out, i'll just bring these in my pocket and I can still activate noise cancellation for deep-work.
